What is Dental Fluorosis? – Dr. Aniruddha KB

Dental fluorosis is also referred to as mottled enamel. These are chalky white opaque patches on the tooth. This is because of excessive intake of fluoride or maybe high ingestion of fluoride during the formation of the enamel in the body. This is called as dental fluorosis, the main consideration of dental fluorosis would be aesthetics it can be seen in certain parts of our country where there is more fluoride content in the water, so when there is high content of fluoride r if they are taking some supplements that contain fluoride, these will all result in an appearance that is chalky on the tooth or opaque on the tooth and this is called as dental fluorosis.
