Help! How Do I Keep My Dental Bridges From Falling Out?
Dr. Pio Modi from Parkway Dentistry answers the very common question a lot of people ask concerning dental bridges. How do I keep my dental bridges from coming loose and falling out?
The answer is simple, and there are a couple ways this can be done:
1. Visiting your dentist on a regular basis. It’s important that your dentist and dental hygienist look at your bridge to make sure everything is OK, that there are no cavities developing around it and most importantly, making sure that everything is intact. Regular visits to your dentist will ensure your dental bridges will always stay in place.
2. For patients that grind or clench their teeth, one thing that your dentist may recommend is a night guard. A night guard is a great way to mitigate the force when you grind or clench your teeth.
At our dental practice we also provide a procedure to balance your bite. This procedure helps balance out the force your teeth make on each other. Ask your dentist about it!
The idea is to ensure the teeth and gums around your bridges are in healthy condition and to provide balance to your bite.
